Choosing My Focus

It was another tough week of teaching, BUT the ending was wonderful! I have decided I want and need to focus on the good. šŸ™‚

My CEI club spent yesterday afternoon cleaning up our outdoor learning environment and planting flower bulbs next to our new trees. Despite three full bags of trash collected, mounds of blackberry vines cut, and less than optimal equipment, not a single person complained. These are exceptional kids and I am blessed to interact with them.

Life in the classroom this year has been less than enjoyable. I have had tearful moments, days I have job searched, even resignation letters written in my head. Today, though, I have decided I will choose to focus on the positive and hope it brings the joy back to my profession.
