I had the pleasure of taking a family vacation this summer. Along the way, I stopped to take many pictures (maybe too many) of the landscape. As I sat here composing this first post, I began to look through some of those pictures to choose one to share. It occurred to me, this could be the first classroom task I could share with you. Instead of telling you what these are images of, tell me what you notice. Where do you think I was on vacation? What clues led you to that location? I would also love to hear how you have used photography or images in your science classrooms to stimulate conversation and thinking.
